One of the big benefits of owning a Ride Safer Travel Vest is that it’s lightweight , compact and ideal for travel. Therefore, we’ve been anxiously awaiting, as much as our eager customers for the FAA to approve our dear travel vest for flight.

Here is the update we posted on FaceBook on August 30, 2014 concerning the situation:

“We know many of you are eagerly looking forward to using the RideSafer on the airplane. We are eagerly looking forward to it too for our little ones.

We are sorry to announce that the FAA approval process for the RideSafer® Travel Vest has been delayed for an undeterminable amount of time. While the manufacturer was assured it tested wonderfully and the paperwork would go through smoothly this summer, the FAA is having a hard time categorizing it. What we know is the manufacturer is continuing the process but is unable to estimate a completion date.

We will announce when the approval is complete and the accessory is available.”

So, there you have it. We’re chalking it up to the RideSafer Travel Vest is so supremely amazing that it needs its own category! Ha! Oh well, it just means more fun road trips are to be had until our dreams of the Ride Safer Flying come true! However, don’t forget that you can still pack your Ride Safer Travel Vest in your carry on for use on the ground when you do reach your destination.
